Fashion and Textile Design
Shannon Kerry McLaren’s final project was inspired by sweets, colourful houses, and 1970s beachwear. She explored the themes by creating compositions with sweets, based on her colourful house research, and then mirrored these to create intricate digital printed textile designs.
Using bold colours and glitter vinyls, she developed her print designs as well as exploring large scale print placements and repeating prints. Shannon then went on to explore the silhouettes found in 1970’s beachwear to inform her own fashion designs whilst also investing modern resort wear collections to give them a contemporary look.
