Fashion and Textile Design
This collection is inspired by club culture scenes and environments from popular club nights with similar aesthetics. Sarah Wilson has been extracting visual information from her primary research such as shapes and stripe theme interiors which are very graphic and bold. From these shapes and marks she has been inspired to produce them into printed textiles for fashion developing scale, pattern and colour.
She has been focusing on a market for womenswear luxury sportswear inspired by ponchos, drawstrings and jackets made from digitally printed fabrics such as waterproof fabrics. She is inspired by the idea of layering garments together with skin tight garments underneath which are inspired by sports gym wear using youthful vibrant colours from her youth and club culture research.
