Joseph McGraw’s work is a collection of designs that are a satirical and subversive commentary on controversial issues present in today’s society. Using a mix of illustrative, typographical and photo based elements, the Graphic Designer creates punchy playful imagery.
Interpreting social and cultural crises/issues including; FDA approved deadly medication; panic buying (mass hysteria); visual pollution; and digitally enhanced images of notorious burgers, he has developed a range of designs that experiment with/occupy outdoor ad spaces and product packaging.
The designer also showcases his skills and experience in a commercial setting through his work in response to a D&AD brief set by Nike and an industrial work-based placement with a technology start-up company, where he was a major contributor to developing design elements of the brand identity and media.
