Contemporary Art Practice
Gordon Niall Todd’s practice aims to act as a revival of abandoned subjects through the exploration of materiality and value of objects past and present. Bringing with him the experiences of his own environments and challenging the boundaries of domestic and vagrant spaces. Exploring the methods and formulation of materials and expanding on their use and understanding. Implementing a range of digital and physical applications within his work, investigating a range of different ways to communicate with an audience; converting forgotten objects into an animated and dynamic state which can once again be recognised.
His objective is for the viewer to reconsider their perspective towards objects and structures that surround us everyday and revising these forms to become more experiential and captivating.
