Contemporary Art Practice
RGU Art and Heritage 2020 Purchase Award Nominee
Caitlin Robb’s practice is inspired by death; particularly the taboo that surrounds it and her respect for the lives and deaths of other creatures.
She has been researching the rituals surrounding death in Scotland’s past and in other cultures of the present day to help influence her practice and to give a better understanding of what death is and what it means to people. Her aim is to represent death from a less fearful perspective and to show reverence towards animals.
