The Painting course at Gray’s School of Art offers an exciting opportunity to study both the technical and conceptual aspects of Drawing and Painting. Students study in our spacious studio environment, including dedicated drawing and workshop facilities, where they are supported to develop their own personal language and critical understanding of the subject.
“As the Head of Painting at Gray’s School of Art I have worked extremely closely with this particular cohort of students throughout their four years in the department and perhaps most pertinently, during their time in lockdown. I have witnessed an incredible transformation take place as they have developed and matured, both personally and professionally, from the raw potential of the first-year student into honours degree Painting graduates.
The ambition and commitment that they have displayed, in the face of unprecedented adversity, has been both commendable and humbling. I’m sure you will agree with me that the range and diversity of the work on display is testament to their resilience, determination and skill.
I would therefore like to take this opportunity, on behalf of all the Painting staff, to wish each and every one of them the very best for the future and their chosen careers.”
